Welcome to our fundraising tutorial! In order to give you a better idea on how to create your own campaign, here is a step by step sample:

First get creative and share your story here! Start by introducing yourself and explain why you love Village Enterprise and why you are supporting us:

"Hey everyone, welcome to my fundraising page!

Help support me by joining my campaign to end poverty in Africa. My goal is to raise $10,000 for Village Enterprise, creating 20 businesses, training 60 entrepreneurs and lifting 420 people out of poverty. Every $500 creates 1 business, trains 3 entrepreneurs, and lifts 21 people out of poverty. A little goes along way and every donation returns a glimmer of hope to those suffering in poverty. With your help we can change the lives of 420 Africans and give them the support they need to break free from their limitations. In the race to end poverty, every step you take makes a difference. Tighten your laces and prepare to push yourself to push others out of poverty!

If you are interested in learning more about Village Enterprise and their goal to end extreme poverty continue reading below!"

Now that you have introduced your story it's time to give background on Village Enterprise (information will be supplied by the organization):

About Village Enterprise:

"Village Enterprise is a leading-edge organization forged and nurtured in Silicon Valley that has lifted hundreds of thousands of rural Africans out of extreme poverty. Guided by technological and business acumen, Village Enterprise has refined a model that is scalable and adaptable. Since their inception, they have started more than 33,000 businesses, trained more than 136,000 entrepreneurs and improved the lives of more than 700,000 women, children and men. This remarkable organization works towards creating a world free from extreme poverty where people have the economic means to sustain their families. Their innovative and unique strategies bring them success but it's their passion and commitment to making the world a better place that really transforms and touches the lives of everyone they work with. "

Now provide information about extreme poverty and give context about the problem:

About the crisis at hand:

"In Africa alone a staggering 415 million people live below the poverty line. Without the means or skills to sustain their families they are left on the brink of survival barely able to hold on. For people affected by poverty, every day is a constant reminder of the struggle they face simply just to get by. Thinking about the millions of people living in poverty while others prosper breaks my heart. Like many other people, the stories of the struggle people face shock and sadden me. I felt like I needed to help give back but had no idea where to start or what I could do to make a difference in their lives. When I discovered Village Enterprise, a non-profit organization working to lift people out of poverty, I was inspired by their passion and determination."

Lastly, tie it all together and let people know how they can help support you. Remember to keep it personal:

"Join my efforts by making a donation or by creating a fundraising page of your own! Every action no matter how big or small truly helps improve the lives of those who live in extreme poverty. I truly appreciate any generous support you can provide. Join me and help make an impact!

If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter! Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

Thanks so much for your generosity and support!"
